SaskWITT Inspiring a New Generation

A number of SaskWITT members helped out with the Girls Exploring Trades and Technology camps at the SIAST campuses this year.  Here is  Rhealene who helped the girls in Saskatoon with threading their axel rods.  This activity inspired at least one girl to say she knows she wants to be a machinist!

Something about the SaskWITT machinists is inspirational.  Another one (Marral) recently spoke to a classroom of students and was told later that some of the students thought she was practically a superhero!

So, the next time you want to inspire, the next time you want to be looked up to like a hero - check with SaskWITT to see if there are any upcoming events where you can help out as a role model!

There is also a recent article about the GETT camps you can check out here http://www.leaderpost.com/camps+teaches+girls+about+trades/6933312/story.html
